The largest selection of bulbs in Syracuse!
Bulbs make a great addition to any landscape adding huge splashes of color when they bloom. We carry a larger size bulb which means the plants grow larger and have bigger flowers. Our varieties are selected based on hardiness, bloom length, color, disease resistance and overall performance. We are always searching for new and improved varieties and continually add unique colors to our selections.
Bulbs for the seasons.
Summer Blooming Bulbs, Corms, and Tubers such as Lilies, Gladiolus, Begonias, and Dahlias are available in April for spring planting. Summer varieties should be planted once soil temps have reached 55-60°F, and the danger of heavy frost has passed. Most summer varieties are not winter hardy and should be dug up in the fall for winter storage. However, there are some exceptions, such as Lilies.
Spring Blooming Bulbs, Corms, and Tubers such as Daffodils, Tulips, Crocus, and Hyacinths are available in September for fall planting. Fall bulbs must be planted after the soil temperature has dropped below 50°F.
Most thrive in full or partial sunlight where soil has good drainage and are easy to grow. Simply dig a hole, set the bulb in and cover it up. Our knowledgeable staff can help you add some to your existing landscape for an added splash of color.
Please note that our selection is seasonal and not all varieties are available throughout the year. If you are looking for a specific type of bulb it is always best to call ahead to check we have it available in the store.
