Maples are one of the most common shade trees in Northeast landscapes. Red and sugar maples are native species from which many cultivated varieties have been developed to improve canopy shape, size, branching, foliage color, and hardiness, to name a few characteristics. Both red and sugar maples have green leaves which change color in the fall ranging from brilliant red to bright yellow depending upon the tree variety. While Norway maples aren’t native, they do grow well in CNY.

Because there are so many different Maples to choose from, we have created a guide so you can find the perfect one for your landscape. While we may not have every variety listed every year, we always have an excellent selection to choose from in our nursery.
